Shout Out: All Rush City Staff
By Mfon Archibong
Working together as a team, the security staff and other members at Rush City have shown unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety of the IPs. Their profound commitment and passion for their career is truly inspiring and not unnoticed. The new trainees were welcomed with open arms and made to feel part of the Rush City family, thanks to the wonderful staff who took the time to connect with them.
We are grateful for the inspiring leadership of Lt. Diane Reineccius, Lt. Jason Chard, Barry Lund, the academic instructors, and the supervisors (Laurel Skoglund, Crystal Kraft, Michelle Saari, and Cory Swenson), who shared their experiences with the new hires.
Together, we can achieve great things, and the Rush City team is a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork and dedication.

Shout Out: Rush City's Will Spencer
By Mfon Archibong
I want to share my appreciation for Will Spencer from the Warehouse for his impressive speedy delivery and efficiency.
I recently ran out of copier paper while preparing for the October Academy and contacted Will for help. His response was lightning fast, and within two minutes, he had delivered the copier paper I needed.
This experience perfectly captures the culture of leadership, efficiency, and accountability that is central to MFC-RC's operations. Will Spencer and all of the staff at MCF-RC are an embodiment of the everyday success story.

Eric Oyen, CO Dalton Siemers, Lt. Brant Baird, Building Maintenance Supervisor DeEon Phillippi, and Lt. Karl Krippner for their quick response and fixing of Gate 1.
The bottom of the gate was bent inward and became inoperable, but thanks to staff efforts they were able to get it operational with in 20 minute of ICS activated! This sort of incident can sometimes take hours to fix.

Shout Out: Shakopee's Lt. Hartmann
Submitted Anonymously
Everyone is aware of how critical staffing has been in the facilities so this is to recognize Lt. Brady Hartmann at Shakopee for stepping in whenever possible to help ease the number of people forced or to fulfill a critical role in the facility. He has stepped out of the role of Watch Commander and Lieutenant to help in officer roles multiple times and he is greatly appreciated.

Shout Out: Peer Recognition Nominations
By Susan Armstrong
Officer Rob Leier and Officer Tony Middleton both received Peer Recognition Nominations in the category of Safety.
During an ICS, they immediately pull up the cameras and search for threats. On numerous occasions they have protected staff and IP's with their quick response time watching cameras and providing clear and concise radio communications directing staff during stressful situations. It is a great reassurance knowing they are both watching and looking out for staff during chaotic situations.
Congratulations!

Shout Out: OPH & STW BCA Staff
By Callie Kruschke
The BCA completed a Triennial audit of our practices recently at both MCF-Oak Park Heights and MCF-Stillwater. We were found to be in complete compliance with MNJIS/NCIC standards. The review indicated that MCF-OPH and MCF-STW exemplifies what the BCA is striving for with all agencies in Minnesota.
I want to extend a BIG congratulations to all of our staff at both facilities for their hard work and great attention to detail. We have many staff from the Support Staff positions running background checks on contractors or volunteers to our After-Hours Warrants Unit at MCF-OPH. Please know that the work you do makes the DOC look good and you can't be thanked enough for that.
I am very grateful for everyone's hard work and dedication to the MN Dept. of Corrections.

Shout Out: Assistant Commissioner Jami Doeden
By Dana Andresen
Amidst his busy schedule and the situations that have taken even more time in recent past, Jami Doeden took the time and made a huge difference with the mother of an IP. The IP had shipped something to his mother, FedEx left the package in a common area, and she never received the package. Jami spoke with the mom, and then called FedEx on her behalf to file a claim. He then called her back to let her know the next step - which was mom being on her way to receiving a $120 claim check from FedEx. Thank you for taking the time and making a difference!
